Solar energy-based hydrogen production and hydrogen storage present a milestone in the renewables economy, yet due to a lack of understanding of processes that increase its utilization, it is still an incomplete concept. Open-source materials science tools and open databases aid the discovery of new materials needed for these applications and enable the development of accurate machine learning models. We work on projects aiming to educate and promote research in hydrogen energy-related topics with the CONVINCE - CENTER of EXCELLENCE for HYDROGEN and RENEWABLE ENERGY, VINČA Institute of Nuclear Sciences. The integration of distinct renewable-energy technologies into a single sustainable technology is one of the activities related to the sustainable development our members continuously implement in their research. Standardized tests of physical, chemical, and mechanical characteristics of the soil and rocks is an important milestone in raising the quality of services offered by any geo-mechanical laboratory.
Out team assisted GEO-TEST d.o.o. company in process of accreditation of experimental methods used during design and construction. We provided scientific background and training for the implementation of standardized methods for the measurement of physical, chemical, and mechanical parameters of soil and construction materials.
